San Rafael Pacifics to Become Oysters on August 10

San Rafael Oysters

As part of an Oysters and Baseball Festival at Albert Park, the San Rafael Pacifics (independent; Pacific Association) will play as the Oysters on August 10. The event is part of a partnership between the Pacifics and the Hog Island Oyster Co.

The team will be renamed the “Oysters” for the game against the Sonoma Stompers, with the players wearing newly designed “Oysters” jerseys.

“We’ve partnered with one of Marin’s greatest pearls, the Hog Island Oyster Company, for this very special event, a night to celebrate our love for baseball baseball and oysters,” said Harrison Shapiro, Pacifics Corporate Account Executive.

In addition to celebrating the team’s alter-ego, fans can go to pacificsbaseball.com to purchase a special event package including a GA ticket, 6 freshly shucked Hog Island oysters, a glass of Van Ruiten Sparkling Rosé, and an Oysters team jersey.

The Hog Island Oyster Company will be offering barbecued and freshly shucked oysters in the Satchel Paige Plaza during the game.

First pitch between the Oysters and the Stompers is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
